Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

Imposter Game is a pass-the-phone party game. It is built to need as little information about you as possible, and this policy explains what that means in practice.

No account, no sign-up

Imposter Game does not ask you to create an account and never asks for your name, email address or phone number. You can play without telling us who you are.

What stays on your phone

Player names, custom words, chosen decks, language, sound and haptic settings are stored on your device only. They are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

Purchases

Purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple handles payment and keeps your payment details; we never see them. To confirm what you own, restore it on a new device and count our subscription revenue, the app uses two subscription management services, Adapty and RevenueCat. Adapty receives an identifier created for this installation and the identifier Apple assigns our app on your device, the details of your App Store purchases (which plan, its price and currency, and when it started, renewed, ended or was refunded) and basic technical information (device model, system and app version, language, time zone, store country and the IP address your connection comes from). RevenueCat receives an app user ID it creates for this installation and the same identifier Apple assigns our app, your App Store purchase receipts and transactions (the same purchase details), the same kind of basic technical information and, if you installed the app from an Apple Ads ad, the attribution token Apple provides for that install. Neither receives your name, your email address or your device's advertising identifier. Adapty's own privacy policy is at adapty.io/privacy, and RevenueCat's is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

No ads, no tracking

The app shows no advertising and contains no advertising SDK. It does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and never asks for permission to. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we share it only with the service providers this policy names, for the purposes it describes.

Analytics

The app does not record what you do inside it: no screens, no taps, nothing about your games. The only numbers we see are about purchases: which plan was bought, renewed, cancelled or refunded, counted by Adapty and RevenueCat from the purchase details above. If you installed the app from an Apple Ads ad, the app passes Adapty and RevenueCat the attribution token Apple provides for that install, and Apple's own attribution service tells us which campaign and keyword the ad belonged to. That uses no advertising identifier and no tracking permission. If a future version adds anything else, this policy will be updated first.

Children

Imposter Game is rated 9+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Everything the app keeps about your games lives on your device and goes when you delete the app. The only records held elsewhere are the purchase records Adapty and RevenueCat keep for us, which carry no name or email. To see them or have them deleted, write to us with the order ID from your App Store receipt so we can find it, and we will answer within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new version ships inside the app. Material changes are announced in the app's update notes.

Terms of Use

Last updated 21 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Imposter Game, published by Achraf Cheikhi. Playing the game means you agree to them. They are written to be read, not skimmed past.

The licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and play Imposter Game on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's App Store terms. The game, its words, hints, characters and design remain ours.

What is free and what is paid

Three decks, custom words and every game mode are free with no time limit and no ads. The remaining decks and future deck drops are part of Pro, which you can unlock with a Yearly or a Weekly subscription.

Subscriptions

The Yearly plan renews every year at the price shown on the button until cancelled; there is no free trial. The Weekly plan renews every week at the price shown. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and renewal is charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel any time in your Apple ID subscription settings; the current period stays active until it ends. Prices are set in your local currency by the App Store and may change with notice.

Refunds and restore

Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms: request one from your purchase history at reportaproblem.apple.com. Restore purchases in Options brings your Pro to any device signed in with the same Apple ID.

Playing fair

Imposter Game is played in a room with people you know. Custom words are yours and stay on your phone; keep them lawful and kind to the people you play with. Do not use the app to harass, threaten or humiliate anyone.

Availability and changes

We may add, change or retire decks, modes and features at any time to keep the game fun and compliant. We aim to keep everything you paid for available, and we will say so in the update notes if something has to go.

No warranty

The app is provided as is. We work hard to keep it free of errors but cannot promise it will never crash or that every word will be to everyone's taste. To the extent the law allows, Achraf Cheikhi is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it and the new version ships inside the app. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the updated terms.
